Psst...Be sure to keep reading 'til the end for a chance to win a $100 Visa gift card!Has fall come to your area yet? It's starting to arrive here, with some mornings and evenings feeling positively chilly. And on a cold night, I love to sit down with a steaming bowl of soup, chock-full of veggies and meat and broth and pure yumminess. It warms me to the core!
But you know what? I like soup so much that I don't wait to eat it until the weather cools. I live in an area that has a lot more hot days than cold days. If I waited for Jack Frost to sneak in, we wouldn't be eating much soup! Instead, I make it year-round...even when the weather's as hot as the soup. It's one of my favorite things to eat from a bowl.
I save most of my recipes to my online Delicious bookmarking site, and I have 42 soup recipes there. Click here to check them out.
One of the food blogs I really enjoy reading is called Finding Joy in My Kitchen. SnoWhite, the blog's author, recently posted a recipe for Cheddar Chicken and Rice Soup. I made it, and it is divine. Doesn't this look fantastic?!
(Photo provided by SnoWhite; used by permission.)
How could you not eat that, whether the temperature outside is 10 degrees or 100 degrees?!
So if you happen to meet me in person, and you happen to come over for dinner...don't be surprised if your main dish is served in a bowl!
Now it's your chance to win a $100 Visa gift card! For all the fine print and official rules of the contest, visit this link.

I LOVE soup! I could eat it every day! My favorite right now is baked potato soup with potatoes, cheese cauliflower and, of course, bacon!
I love oatmeal!

Oh -- I'm a big soup fan too :) But, second to that, I love eating a granola ice cream parfait in a bowl!
Favorite meal in a bowl??? Um...
Cream of wheat, I think!
We eat a lot of meals in a bowl. Everything from soup to skillet meals. My favorite is Chicken with shells and cheese. It is the only thing I make that my picky son will sit at the table and eat with us. I love that.
My favorite is homemade mac and cheese...yummy!
I love soups, cream of wheat, and mac and cheese, like the above posters. But, my favorite is cereal. The kids and I eat cereal for a snack or dessert as well as breakfast. We go through so much milk here!
One of my favorite meals in a bowl is beef stew with cornbread.

Is ice cream a meal? Ok, other than ice cream I LOVE to eat chili! YUMMY!! Soups are a close second, but I can pretty much always go for a bowl of chili!
One of my favorite meals in a bowl, and consequently my dinner tonight, is beef stew.
Soup is yum. Chili is also yum. I also enjoy $100 Visa giftcards in a bowl or in a box, with a mole, with a fox.
I'm not much for soup when it's warm out though. Another reason I'm glad it's Fall.
I am entering via tweet. http://twitter.com/showmyface/statuses/27880552334 Even though Mr Random has something against me. Ever since I punched him in the face and stole his pony.

I love love love cereal. Think Jerry Seinfeld love of cereal. I'd eat it for 3 meals a day, if I could!
Seriously, my fave is cereal. However if you're talking more traditional meals than I'd have to say Chili or Beef Stew. Both are good on a cold fall day!

My wife makes a great white chicken chili with a white cheddar and swiss cornbread thing baked on top. There is a layer of cheese between the two that oozes out when you push in the spoon.

I'm an old fan of Kellogg's Corn Flakes.
When I'm sick, it is always the first thing I want and in the middle of a dark night, I think of Corn Flakes.
I'm hopelessly hooked forever.
